Mont Kiara hosts juggle back-to-back guests, strict building security and reviews that punish the smallest oversight. Our team handles dozens of short-stay changeovers each week. The version below is what our crew leads work from. Feel free to copy it.
Station 1: Arrival and access (5 min)
- Sign in at security, confirm unit number and host instructions
- Photograph the front door and entryway before entry
- Lay protective floor sheet at the entry
- Open windows for cross-ventilation
Station 2: Strip and sort (25 min)
- Strip all beds, separate sheets from towels
- Bag laundry with unit reference label
- Remove dishes from sink to dishwasher
- Empty all bins, take liners to chute
Station 3: Bathrooms (35 min)
- Descale shower screen and taps
- Disinfect toilet (bowl, seat, base, behind)
- Polish mirrors with streak-free formula
- Restock toilet paper, hand soap and welcome amenities
- Replace bin liners and place fresh hand towels
Station 4: Kitchen (30 min)
- Unload, polish and stack dishwasher contents
- Wipe inside microwave and oven cavity
- Degrease hob, splashback and range hood filter face
- Restock coffee pods, sugar, salt and pepper
- Check fridge for guest leftovers, dispose if present
Station 5: Bedrooms (30 min)
- Make all beds with hotel-style triple sheeting
- Plump pillows and dress with throws
- Dust headboards, side tables and wardrobe handles
- Vacuum mattress edges and underneath each bed
Station 6: Living areas (15 min)
- Vacuum sofa cushions and underneath
- Polish glass tables and TV screen
- Reset coffee table with welcome card and Wi-Fi note
- Realign remote controls in a small tray
Station 7: Floors and balcony (15 min)
- Vacuum all hard floors before mopping
- Mop with neutral pH solution
- Sweep and wet-mop the balcony
- Wipe balcony rail and table
Station 8: Final walk and listing photos (10 min)
- Walk the unit in the order a guest would walk it
- Photograph: entrance, kitchen island, sofa, master bed
- Send photo summary to host with timestamp
- Lock up, sign out at security
The three photos every short-stay host should request: the made-up master bed, the wiped-down kitchen island, and the styled sofa. That trio is what guests check on arrival and what they compare to the listing.
Common shortcuts that cost reviews
- Skipping the inside of the microwave
- Forgetting balcony floors during haze season
- Re-using a damp bath mat instead of a fresh one
- Not aligning remotes or restocking coffee pods
